Sega Megadrive’s Homebrew Pier Solar Is Getting A HD Remake For PS4, PS3 & Steam

 

Pier Solar and The Great Architects is one of those Homebrew games that you wished actually released way back when the Sega Megadrive (or Genesis in the U.S) was released. It always looked like a fantastic RPG title and I personally haven’t had the chance to play the title, but it seems like that’s all about to change.

WaterMelon, the developers behind Pier Solar and The Great Architects started a Kickstarter campaign in 2012 to have Pier Solar release in HD, which was successful.  Today they finally announced a PS4, Ps3, Steam and Ouya release date for Pier Solar HD, which is September 3oth.

However, Xbox One and Wii U owners will have to wait another month to find out when the title will be releasing on their format. Oh, and for those die hard retro fans, a Sega Dreamcast version will also be released, but in the original SD quality.
