Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Monolith and WB Games’ upcoming title based on the extremely popular Lord of the Rings franchise has just gotten a new trailer, and not only that, but some key talent behind the game has been revealed and it is pretty darn good.

Lending their talented voices to the game will be, Alastair Duncan as Wraith, Laura Bailey as Ioreth, Liam O’Brien as Gollum and…. drum roll please… Troy Baker and Nolan North as Talion and Black Hand respectively. Troy Baker and Nolan North in a same game again, and in opposite roles? Good god this is going to be great.

Also, if you think that was awesome, wait till you hear who is composing the score to the game. The award-winning Garry Schyman, who had done a tremendous job with Bioshock Infinite last year, which won him both the D.I.C.E. award for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition, and a BAFTA for Best Original Music. I really don’t think they could’ve chosen a better composer to score something in the powerful Lord of the Rings universe, as Garry Schyman completely understands just how to make any orchestra as powerful and epic as possible.

Believe it or not, but I actually believe having the right amount of talent in your game not only plays an important part into how it turns out, but it also shows that the developers and publishers are serious enough to drop some big bucks on it. Colour me both intrigued and excited.

The game will follow Talion as he goes on a perilous journey to exact revenge from Sauron, for taking away everything he had ever loved. The path in front of him isn’t going to be easy by any means, as Sauron will be guarded with some of the most ruthless and elite killers. However, unfortunately for him, Talion isn’t your average warrior. The game will release on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 on the 7th of October. For now, check out the trailer above, and some screenshots below.
