A bit of a sneak hit, Dusk – a retro inspired FPS ala Doom, Quake and Half Life – released from early access at the very end of last year to much acclaim.

Being praised for its modernised take on the old legends of FPS, providing fast paced and fantastic gory shooting, the game, as enthused in a recent steam blog post by the developer, is a certified success, and plans are already in motion for providing extra content and some much needed console ports.

Among the list of features are DRM free Mac and Linux versions, language localisations, Co-Op, New game+, physical collectors editions, and of course ports to console (as well as apparently a real life bacon scented soap…).

The game looks like a whole lot of fun, and so the news can only be good for everyone. Having the game ported to Xbox One and PS4 could take a little while, but if the reviews are to be believed, it should be worth the wait.
