Sonic Forces gets a new trailer showcasing the “Hero Character”

Sega have revealed that Sonic Forces will have a brand new third gameplay style. It’s the first time in the Sonic series that you will be able to play as your own created character.

There will be a range of different types of characters to choose from, each having their own ability.

• Wolf – Automatically draws in rings when near them
• Rabbit – Has longer invincible time after receiving damage
• Cat – Keeps one ring after being hit
• Dog – Restarts with five rings after the player dies
• Bear – Blows away enemies with a homing attack
• Bird – Flies high with double jump abilities
• Hedgehog – Collects rings when getting damaged

 

You will be able to determine what outfits and accessories your characters wear, and that’s not all, you will also be able to edit facial features and the character’s colour scheme. The Hero characters will also feature different equipment including a hook as shown in the two gameplay trailers above.

Sonic Forces is yet to have a release date, but likely will be revealed at E3. The title will be releasing on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
