SoulCalibur 6 announced at #GameAwards2017

Among a big batch of gaming rumours last month, one of them was regarding SoulCalibur 6 potentially being announced at this week’s PlayStation Experience.  However, SoulCalibur VI will not be announced at PSX, as it was revealed to the world at last night’s The Game Awards.

It’s been five years since we last had a SoulCalibur game, so this announcement has been well overdue for fans of the series.  Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada took to the stage to reveal the gameplay trailer built on the Unreal Engine 4, which showcased series veterans Sophitia and Mitsurugi doing battle.  SoulCalibur VI is said to feature an all new Reversal Edge mechanic, where players will be able to balance between attack and defence, which can offer unique and powerful counter strikes, which will be presented through a dynamic camera.

You can watch the announcement trailer below.  SoulCalibur VI will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2018.  You also check out two snazzy pieces of art work for the game below.
