South Korean Game Mirrors Portal

An up and coming online game called ‘Gate’ has players running around a factory like setting creating portals.. or gates to transfer themselves to different areas in the game… not exactly an original.

Portal, released in late 2007 and created by U.S developer Valve (seen below) has the player shooting portals at walls to solve puzzles and keep moving through the game.

By the looks of it, Gate is a third-person shooter which unlike Portal, seems to offer up a variety of playable characters and weapons to use throughout. Despite the added features it still doesn’t dull the fact that Gate has the exact linear story path of moving through the game having to use a portal gun.

It was also noted that last year, another South Korean developer released the Pc title H.A.V.E online, a game which looks very much like Valve’s very own Team Fortress.

Details on when Gate is actually going online are yet to be found.
