SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Release Date Announced
Originally released in 2003 for PC, PS2, the original Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom is getting a current day release a good 17 years later, which is being described as “faithful remake of one of the best SpongeBob games ever created.”
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated will come with improved modern day HD visuals and performance, “polished gameplay”, restored content that was cut from the original release, such as a Robo Squidward boss fight, and even a new multiplayer horde mode (online or offline) for up-to two players.
Additionally, two Collector Editions were also announced, to release alongside the standard edition. First up we have the Shiny Edition with an RRP of £139.99/€149.99/ $149.99, and it comes with:
- An 8″/20cm SpongeBob Figurine with Golden Spatula and flexible tongue
- Wall Stickers
- 6 Lithographs
- SpongeBob SquarePants Tennis Socks
- The Game itself
Next up is the F.U.N Edition which has a more pricy RRP of £259.99/€299.99/$259.99, but naturally it does come with more cool content, such as:
- An 8″/20cm SpongeBob Figurine with Golden Spatula and flexible tongue
- A 7″/18cm Figurine of Patrick
- The Sandy 8″/20cm Figurine
- Wall Stickers
- A set of Tiki Key Rings
- 6 Lithographs
- SpongeBob SquarePants Tennis Socks
