Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gets a 14-Minute Gameplay Reveal #EAPLAY

At EA Play we got a good 14-minute gameplay reveal for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, where we saw our Jedi hero Cal Kestis wield his Lightsaber, kicking Stormtrooper’s backsides, slaying giant spider-things and rescuing Wookies on Kashyyyk.

While I wasn’t blown away with the gameplay to be honest, in fairness, this is an alpha build apparently. However, not that I expect Jedi Fallen Order to have the same kind of difficulty, but some of the melee combat kind of reminds me a little of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.  According to Game Informer, you can parry enemy attacks and enemies will have a block metre that you can break, and when that metre is broken, you can finish them off with a brutal lightsaber execution.

Our protagonist Cal is also accompanied by a small droid companion that spent much of its time sat on his shoulder.  The droids name is BD-1 and it can be used to hack devices, open doors and can also heal Cal when needs be.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order being back by EA will have some stars to help tell its cinematic story.  We have already learned from previous reveals that Cal will be played by Cameron Monaghan who played Jeremiah quite brilliantly in my opinion in TV series Gotham, who was The Joker in almost every way but name.  You may also have noticed Hollywood star and Academy Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, reprising his role as Saw Gerra, who we first met in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.  Saw Gerra will be Cal’s mentor in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is developed by Respawn Entertainment and will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 15th.  And for those that subscribe to either EA Access or EA Origin, you’ll be able to try the game a week before its official release.  You can watch the full gameplay reveal below.
