Most of you might have heard about State of Decay, an open-world zombie game that was highly acclaimed for its immersive and fun gameplay. In fact, it even went on to sell a large amount of copies on Xbox Live just in a short period of time, earning it the title “fastest selling original game ever” on Xbox Live Arcade. Now, PC gamers will be pleased to know that the game will be coming to Steam Early Access soon. However, to play the early access edition, gamers will be required to have their controllers ready as it won’t support keyboard and mouse input in the early stages, but rest easy knowing that mouse and keyboard support will be available in the final game.

Furthermore, according to the devs, The PC version of the open-world zombie game will benefit from higher resolutions, better graphics, crisp textures and overall smoother frame rates. The base game however, will still be the same with identical amount of content on both platforms. Players can expect to experience these improvements when the game is available on Steam Early Access.

For those of you that are not aware, Steam Early Access is a fairly new feature that allows developers to upload early builds of their games, so that gamers can try it out and give constant feedback on it. This allows the developers to create a better final product for their users, and if done right, raise interest as well. You can even go over to our Betrayer Preview, which we played on Steam Early Access! There isn’t an exact date, but keep your eyes open zombie fans, this isn’t a title anyone should miss.
