According to a Steam Store listing, The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode One will release on Tuesday December 17th.  Nothing else is obviously said in regards to release dates for other formats (with Steam being PC format), but if this release date does end up being true, then we can safely assume that it will also release for the home consoles and some mobile devices at around the same time.

With a bit of luck Telltale Games will come out very soon in regards to the official release dates, but they did announce some time ago that Episode One of Season Two will be released at the end of 2013.

If any Walking Dead fans have played Season One, then you will have an idea of the emotional rollercoaster of a journey we can expect to find ourselves in when Season Two finally launches. I for one cannot wait.

To help you keep you up to speed with the events of Season Two, below is the official game description and key features from Telltale Games:

The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.

Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.

Key Features

  • Decisions you made in Season One and in 400 Days will affect your story in Season Two
  • Based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic books
  • Play as Clementine, an orphaned girl forced to grow up fast by the world around her
  • The sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year
