Gauntlet Release Date And Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed
Gauntlet is a gem of the past and now a modern re-make is on the horizon. Today WB Games announced the release date of 3rd September 2014 as well as confirmation of the price, at £14.99; not only this, but Gauntlet has now popped up on Steam for pre-purchase too.
Pre-ordering now from Steam will snag you a free digital comic from DC Comics as well as two exclusive in-game items to show off to your friends, the ‘Reaper’s Visage Helm’ and the ‘Azkog the Demon Slayer weapon’. The comic remains the same wherever you pre-order from, although you will receive different weapons or gear depending on which retailer you order from, the ‘Reaper Visage Helm’ and ‘Azkog the Demon Slayer weapon’ being exclusive to Steam, while the ‘Mordok’s Screaming Hammer weapon’ is exclusive to GreenmanGaming.
Gauntlet is promised to remain faithful to the original while bringing it up to date with modern gameplay, graphics and mechanics. I am confident Arrowhead Game Studios can pull it off successfully and, like you, we eagerly await any further information and I am personally very excited to take a look at it to see if it truly lives up to the original.
