Super Meat Boy sequel announced, releasing 2018 for consoles and mobile

A sequel to the indie icon Super Meat Boy has been announced with Super Meat Boy Forever, which will release in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, as well as compatible iOS and Android devices.

Super Meat Boy Fever was originally set to be a mobile game, before plans were long scrapped.  It gets its “Forever” name with each level being re-playable, which is nothing new of course, but each time you replay your chosen level, the difficulty will increase every time you play.

Super Meat Boy Forever promises to be more challenging than ever before, as well as coming with a new control scheme, ranking system and daily challenges, providing even more replay value.  Hopefully we’ll get a solid release date soon, in the meantime, be sure to check out its announcement trailer below.
