System Shock Reboot Coming to PS4

In not so surprising news, the recently Kickstarted reboot to classic sci-fi horror and Bioshock inspiration System Shock has been announced for additional release on PS4 for sometime in Q1 of 2018.

The game, also coming to PC, is a remake from the ground up of the original System Shock, but promises to stay faithful to its source material.

I was rather impressed by the free demo available, and previewed it here. They weren’t lying about staying faithful to the original, and the game seems to be being modernised in all the right places – me being of the opinion that the original was in dire need of some sort of remaster.

And it seems there’s a heck of a lot of support for making this reboot happen – the Kickstarter smashed its goal pretty much in the first few days, and is now sitting at over $1mil with still six days left.
