BioWare and EA have released a new gameplay trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda that gives us a tour of the Tempest ship, our new Normandy if you will.

The trailer is narrated by your pilot of the Tempest, a Salarian by the name of Kallo Jath.  He has been the pilot of this ship since its prototype days and ensures us that the Tempest is “light, stealthy and easily the fastest ship in her class.” He also points out that for all of the ships stealth and speed capabilities, it has sacrificed a main gun and heavy armour.

The tempest will have its own R&D department and laboratories, as well as a meeting room, bridge, engineering department, medical lab, armoury, cargo bay and more.  The ship, gear and weapons will be upgradable.  We also learn more about the Nomad Rover, which will be used to explore and scan a planet’s surface, as well as being able to customise its look.

You will of course have your very own living quarters, which is heavily upgraded in comparison to the ones that featured on the Normandy.  These are “off limits” to other crew members of the Tempest, unless they’re invited by you… giggity!

You can watch the Tempest and Nomad briefing trailer below.  Mass Effect: Andromeda will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 21st.
