Team Sonic Racing Is Announced, Trailer and Screenshots Released

Sega has announced finally announced the sequel to Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed with Team Sonic Racing, which is set to release “this winter” for PC (digital only), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and is to be developed by Sumo Digital.

Team Sonic Racing will allow up to 12-players to compete online, while offering up to 4-player, split-screen couch co-op.  You’ll be able to customise your vehicles, tweak performance, race solo, team up with friends and take on rival teams online.  Team Sonic Racing will feature a whole host of tracks inspired throughout the Sonic Universe, as well as featuring a wealth of its well known characters to race as, with or against.  In total there will be 15 characters at launch with three distinct discipline types, Speed, Technique and Power.  Modes will include Adventure (basically the story mode), Grand Prix, Time Trial and more.

That’s all the info we have on Team Sonic Racing right now, but we do also know that it will be playable at E3 for those in attendance.  In the meantime, check out the short teaser trailer above and the screenshots below.
