Telltale Games have done a great job recently with the comic book adaptations of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, so with their next big project Game of Thrones, fans naturally have high hopes.  But the Game of Thrones title will be treading on slightly new ground then Telltales previous games, as it will be based upon the George R. R. Martin novels, rather than the comic book series that The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us represents.

According to The New York Times, while George R. R. Martin may not be working on the title directly with the folks at Telltale Games (though I’m sure he will have some overseeing capacity), his assistant Ty Corey Franck will be working with the developers in a story consultation capacity.  So as we expected, it should be very authentic and loyal to the novels, I for one cannot wait.

Telltale Games Game of Thrones is in the early stages of development, it is expected to release this year at this moment.
