For those who backed this narrative-driven horror title, you’ll be glad to hear that The Beast Inside is fast approaching its £33,490 Kickstarter target, with still 24 days to go, meaning it’s a shoe-in for being successfully funded as well as reaching some of those stretch goals.

If you have already contributed to the Kickstarter, you will likely have a demo of the game, but for those that don’t (and haven’t watched any of the vast numbers of Let’s Play video yet) then the developers have also released a commentary-less playthrough of the demo themselves for others to see what the fuss is about.

The game itself is a narrative horror set at the time of the Cold War, following a C.I.A. cryptanalyst who moves to a large, remote house to work on breaking Soviet code. Unfortunately for him it seems the house is haunted by American Civil War era ghosties, and Adam is going to find out how they are connected to his reality.

Interestingly the game also features a second playable character, Nicolas, who resides in the Civil War times, so we see the house from his perspective as well.

The game boasts photorealistic graphics, which if you view the demo will see are very impressive indeed.

Watch the video below, and if you are interested in the Kickstarter, you can find that here.
