At QuakeCon today, Bethesda finally released info on the much anticipated Collector’s Edition for Skyrim. Todd Howard confirmed the impressive collection and gave details on its contents. Fans will be happy to see the return of the franchise this November 11th, as their social lives will disappear over the winter months during which they will explore the huge landscape and many innovations that this new title in the series brings to RPG fans everywhere.

The Collectors Edition will include –

Created in conjunction with the IP Factory, this collector’s only statue stands 12” tall and is made of high quality PVC. Modeled from actual in-game 3D digital files, it showcases Alduin, the World Eater. He stands perched atop one the game’s many dragon walls that teach the player the lethal language of dragons.

‘The Art of Skyrim’ Official Art Book: Featuring over 200 pages of striking, full-color illustrations, sketches and models, this stunning 9 3/8” x 12 1/8” coffee table book showcases the characters, creatures, environments, and weaponry of Skyrim. With a foreword by game director Todd Howard and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists, readers will be guided through the game’s iconic visual style.

‘The Making of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ DVD:
This documentary DVD contains exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage, including interviews with the Bethesda Game Studios team as they take you from concept to creation and provide insights into the story, gameplay, setting, legacy of the Elder Scrolls franchise, and much more.

The Collector’s Edition will be available through pre-order and it retails for $149.99 (US), €149.99 (Europe), £129.99 (UK), and A$199.99 (Australia).

Bethesda strongly recommends pre-ordering the title as they say it will be produced in very limited supply!

Okay that’s all plans for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and any other games for a while straight out of the window. I just hope I get a really good deal for my trade ins.

This collector’s Edition is the only package that has been enough to entice me ever since they started.

I’ll probably end up waiting for the GOTY version, since I never finished Oblivion…Never finished as I only played about 30 minutes. Got out of the dungeon and encountered a rather humorous bug when looking back on it, but I just turned it off and went onto something else!

Yeah I never finished Oblivion or Morrowind, personally I just spent ages enjoying the game and have never actually completed either. I doubt I’ll be able to complete this, but I’ll at least enjoy fighting the dragons and whatever the Jills are.
