The Evil Within: The Executioner “Badass” Gameplay Trailer – Out Now!

Update: The Executioner DLC is available as of now.

Original Story: Bethesda Softworks has released the first gameplay trailer for the final expansion of The Evil Within; The Executioner.  You will play as The Keeper aka Boxhead in First Person, which looks to be an all out action gore-fest.  However, what really grabs my attention from this gameplay trailer is that there seems to be a tale to be told for The Keeper, so I can’t wait to find out more.

The Executioner will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One from May 26th.  It will be included in The Evil Within season pass priced at £14.99 or as an individual purchase for £3.99.

We scored the main game The Evil Within a highly respectable 9.0, with the two previous expansions The Assignment and The Consequence scoring a combined 8.0.  You can checkout our reviews by clicking on the aforementioned links.  We’ll also be reviewing The Executioner later this month.

The Executioner places players in a series of battle arenas all from the first-person perspective of The Keeper. Initially armed with The Keeper’s signature hammer, players will fight against a host of The Evil Within’s iconic villains to earn new weapons and upgrades. Set in the Manor House of the Victoriano Estate, The Executioner features first-person melee combat combined with exploration and discovery as players unearth the story of a man forced to become The Keeper.
