The Lord of the Rings Online Confirmed for Gamescom 2010

Codemasters Online today has announced that the upcoming The Lord of the Rings online title will be seen around the Gamescom 2010 floor. Codemasters are celebrating the highly anticipated introduction of LOTR’S innovative new price model that will allow players to download the game and play for free. Codemasters online are going to be giving away free points at Gamescom at the value of €10 for players to spend in the new LOTRO Store.

The store will be filled like a candy shop, you will be able to purchase expansion pack,premium content, additional character slots, potions, character customisation and more.

The game will be making sure that players of all levels have lots to explore in the detailed realms and join the familiar characters on an evolving re-creation of some of the famous encounters our hobbits faced. You will be able to take part of Frodo and the Fellowship’s journey as you aim to destroy the One Ring.
Gamers can adventure solo or forge their own fellowships online with others, as they face hideous monsters and minions of Sauron, establish unique reputations, fight epic battles to defend Middle-earth, and immerse themselves in the greatest adventure the fantasy genre has ever known.
