Boy does this game keep surprising me. The Astronauts (no, that isn’t a British boy band) has just released 13 minutes worth of commented gameplay from The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and they have also revealed the release date for the game, which is the 25th of September.

From what I have seen so far, the game looks absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. What is most impressive is that the game on PC will require only DX9 as minimum, that’s right the devs can achieve this with DX9, while all the other so called devs are releasing insane requirements from left and right. I hope more developers will start properly utilising the technology available to them.

You can now pre-order the PC version of the game for only £14.99 (which is damn cheap) and score yourself the official soundtrack, 4 exclusive HD wallpapers, Red Creek Valley digital map, a making of PDF album and finally a Digital poster. Again, all that for a mere £14.99.  The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is also set to release for the PS4, though no release date has been confirmed as of yet.
