A few months ago Terminal Reality revealed their new game, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, which is solely based on the TV series rather than the comic books or the fantastic adventure game made by Telltale Games. Since its announcement, not much has been seen or heard about it… until now. A trailer has been released which shows off some gameplay and whilst the graphics currently won’t blow you away, the game does appear to have promise. The player takes on the role of Daryl Dixon, and as you progress you will come to discover how he and his brother Merle ended up in Atlanta. What’s interesting about the trailer is although you see Daryl carry around a shotgun, not once was it fired. Tactics play a big part in this game, it’s not going to be a simple as running around all guns blazing. If it’s anything like the show then ammo will be scarce and you’re going to have to find various ways to sneak around the zombies. For example, in the trailer you can see a bottle being throw to attract the Walkers. OXM reports that players can choose whether they want to add more people to their group which means you will have access to more gear, although on the other hand though it also means that more food will be needed. The premise of the game seems very promising but we will have to wait till later in the year to find out if it will be a worthy entry in The Walking Dead universe. Watch the trailer below and give us your thoughts in the comments below.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC sometime later this year.
