The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Stunning Trailer Released & Collector’s Edition Announced

Today, CDPR and GOG collaborated in order to bring you an exclusive live stream of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with a Pre-E3 event, and boy was there a complete news blowout. Not only did they show a brand new trailer for The Witcher 3 and reveal the pre-order goodies for different versions but, GOG fired a big gun by unveiling GOG Galaxy, more of which is here.

Coming back to The Witcher 3, the release date has been unveiled as 24th of February next year and will be available in two versions, the Standard Edition and the Collector’s Edition, and both of them look nicely packed.  Below are the details for both the newly announced and generous editions for The Witcher 3.

Standard Edition

First up, is the standard edition which you can view above. Now do keep in mind, this is the Standard Edition of the game, and CDPR are already giving you a lot, compared to the other companies. It contains:

• A Blu-ray Disc with the game (DVDs on PC)
• An exclusive CD with the official soundtrack
• The official, developer-created “Witcher Universe – The Compendium”
• A beautiful, detailed map of the in-game world
• A set of unique stickers
• A stylish, protective sleeve.

Collector’s Edition

 

Secondly, this is one meaty Collector’s Edition, for those of you that truly want to show your Witcher status.  The Collector’s Edition contains:

• All the contents from the standard edition of the game
• A giant, 33x24x26 cm (10”), 100% hand painted, Polystone figure of Geralt of Rivia battling a Griffin
• An exquisite, collector-grade Witcher medallion
• A one-of-a-kind SteelBook™ box
• A two-hundred-page artbook, containing breathtaking art from the game
• Huge outer and inner Collector’s Boxes you can store your Witcher merchandise in!

The most exciting part was perhaps the trailer that further hinted on what the story will be in-game, and just how dangerous it would get for Geralt. For you see, the Wild Hunt is an essential part of Geralt’s role as the legendary Witcher, and when the pack leader wants to bring him to his knees, some old scars are sure to open.
