THQ to provide some online functions in Homefront for preowned users

Recent THQ games have been seen to use the ‘Online Pass’ system requiring you to either buy the game new and enter the included code or buy a new code altogether seeing as preowned copies are unlikely to have it.

The case seems to be slightly different for upcoming title Homefront. THQ have announced that the full online experience will still be free for new purchasers via a redemption code and those without one will still be able to play the multiplayer allowing them to progress up to level 5. The maximum level obtainable is 75.

Homefront arrives on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in March this year.
