According to an article from Polygon, Respawn Entertainments Community Manager Abbie Heppe told them that around two million users participated in the online Titanfall beta across the PC and Xbox One platforms.

The purpose of the beta was to stress test the online servers and hopefully identify any bugs that may exist and iron them out in time for the big release day. Abbie revealed that as a result of the beta they were able to identify some issues and that some changes will be made and believes that the beta was also about “giving people confidence” and to “build ties with what the studio hopes will develop into a long-term fanbase.

Abbie also stated that “We’re still looking for tweaks to certain weapons or other things,” and Heppe added. “The designers spent a lot of time watching videos and streams of people playing to try and look and see how they were abusing things or not understanding things.

It’s fair to say that the Titanfall beta was a huge success for many reasons, not to mention that it was a blast for gamers alike.  You can checkout our Tom’s impressions of the Titanfall beta right HERE.

Titanfall will release for the PC and Xbox One on March 11th across North America, the 13th across Europe and the 14th in the UK.  It will then release for the Xbox 360 on March 25th in North America and the 28th across Europe.
