It’s fair to say that for many, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan was a letdown, especially given the pedigree of hack ‘n’ slash experts, Platinum Games.  However, it may come as a surprise to find that Activision has removed its digital form from PSN, Steam and the Xbox Games Store.

It’s not unheard of with games being pulled from digital stores, but it’s not often that such a big title gets removed within less than a year, with it releasing during May 2016.  Despite it very much under-performing, the reason for its removal could be down to licensing.  Activision are known for pumping out games before a licensing deal expires, such as with the recent Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5 (which was also a letdown, as detailed in our review).  I think there’s a familiar pattern developing here.

TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan was recently included as a PS+ game several months back, but if you missed out on this game and still want to pick it up, it is available in its physical form via various gaming retailers.
