Two Brand-New Screenshots for the Darkly-Delicious Max Payne 3

Rockstar has today unveiled two brand new screenshots of Max Payne 3, the dark and gritty comeback of PlayStations most infamous noire anti-hero. Set eight years after the events of 2003’s Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, we witness a very different Payne. Instead of dishing out harsh justice in the streets of the Big Apple as a NYPD cop; he’s left it all behind for Sao Paulo, Brazil, to work as a private security officer.

The two screenshots show off the motion comic-style approach that Rockstar is going for, as well as the new integrated cover system, delivering more of strategic approach to the gun-toting mayhem.

Our fingers are crossed that Max Payne 3 will maintain everything that made the first two titles so good, as well as adding more to the franchise itself. But what do you guys think?

Max Payne 3 will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. No confirmation of a release date has been made just yet, but Push-Start will keep you posted.
