Ubisoft details Far Cry 3 Pre-Order Incentives

Ubisoft is certainly no stranger to pre-order bonuses, both through their own first run editions as well as retailer specific DLC. Far Cry 3 is set to continue the trend with two incentives worth keeping an eye on. If you stuck around till the end of their latest gameplay trailer featuring Dr. Earnhardt, you might have spotted something extra for those keen on the title.

Available at www.farcrygame.com, the ‘Lost Expeditions Edition‘ will net you two exclusive missions entitled ‘Forgotten Experiment‘ and ‘Ignition In The Deep‘ as well an extra gun for multiplayer, the ‘Type 10 Japanese World War II Flare Gun‘

Meanwhile, over at GameStop, the ‘Monkey Business Pack‘ will give you four missions for the single player, revolving around Hurk and his bomb-carrying monkeys, and for multiplayer, two bonus ways to humiliate your friends.

We’re still waiting to hear more about the multiplayer side of Far Cry 3, so these ‘humiliation techniques’ are as expected, quite vague. From the sounds of it, the multiplayer mode will be much more expansive than we’ve seen in the past if recent interviews are anything to go by.

According to Brian Crecente over at VoxGames, Massive, a Ubisoft studio, will be developing an “online universe” for FarCry 3 and will be “adding elements from the indie scene and social games.” No further details were given so it looks like we’ll just have to wait on Ubisoft to dish out the goods.
