With the sequel to 2012’s Rocksmith coming to PC and consoles this October, developer Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Rocksmith 2014 Edition, the fastest way to learn guitar according to an independent national study by Research Strategy Group Inc, showcasing the all new Guitarcade mini-games, used to practice those essential skills, as well as the brand new difficulty level locks Score Attack.

With a completely redesigned interface, new songs, and all-new features, Rocksmith 2014 Edition is tailored to better teach the key elements of guitar playing. A revamped Riff Repeater mode allowed players to select any section of a song they want to play, and repeat that section over-and-over until its mastered. Players can also set the starting difficulty level, speed, or play note-by-note through challenging parts, all on-the-fly. A new Master Mode makes playing by memory more approachable and new Guitarcade mini-games have been created to hone specific guitar skills. With these flexible and deep practice tools, its never been easier for players to play their favourite songs on guitar or bass.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition contains over 50 new tracks including:

Aerosmith – Walk This Way
Alice In Chains – Stone
Arctic Monkeys – R U Mine?
Avenged Sevenfold – Bat Country
Bob Dylan – Knockin On Heavens Door
Iron Maiden – The Trooper
Jack White – Sixteen Saltines
Kiss – Rock And Roll All Nite
Mastodon – Blood and Thunder
Oasis – Dont Look Back In Anger
Pantera – Cemetary Gates

White Zombie –  Thunder Kiss 65

As a terrible guitar player, but fan of the series I cannot wait to see how Ubisoft have fixed the problems with the originals brutal difficulty spike, poor interface, mini-game depth and a fairly bland tracklist.

You can look forward to shredding along to Slayer when Rocksmith 2014 Edition is released for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on October 25th.

Pre-order now to get free bonus track “Cherub Rock” by The Smashing Pumpkins. Find out more at www.Rocksmith.com
