Earlier this week Big Ben Interactive, has announced that the tenured rally racer, V-Rally, is set to make its formal return in the form of V-Rally 4. A title which is set to remain faithful to its direct predecessors, and most importantly, the fans of the franchise who have spent fifteen long years waiting for the sequel. The developer behind the game, Kylotonn Racing Games, promises that this particular title is set to be created by the fans, for the fans.

V-Rally 4 is set to be the biggest game in the history of the franchise, as it will feature fifty customisable vehicles, which include the emblematic Porsche 911 Safari, classic Ford Mustang, and Ford Fiesta RS RX, among many. In addition to the expansive roster of extreme vehicles, V-Rally 4, will also feature a wide variety of tracks, which will range from desolate African deserts, to mountain regions of Japan; and modes such as Extreme-Khana, V-Rally Cross, Buggy, and last but certainly not least, Hillclimb.

On paper, and on trailer which you can watch above, V-Rally 4, looks to be the next big thing in the world of rally games – especially those of the arcade kind. However, it is being developed by the French Studio Kylotton Racing Games, of which products, at least in recent years, were disappointing to say the least. But maybe, just maybe, this is the type of game which Kylotonn needs in order to finally create something of note. And if all goes well, V-Rally 4 may be to Kylotonn, exactly what Gravel has been to Milestone, a saving grace.

V-Rally 4, is set to launch across all modern systems this September. For once Nintendo Switch owners will have a chance to play a large release alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players, as the title in question is one of a select few games to come out on Nintendo’s system the day of the global release.
