Valve Developer Says Half-Life: Alyx Will Not Be “The End” of the Series

PC VR exclusive Half-Life: Alyx releases later this month and while I am pleased to see this series return, I’m not excited about a game I’ve waited so long for, that I’ll never get to play.  Simply because I’ll likely never own a PC good enough to play it, neither will I own a VR headset to play it on and I know that I’m not alone with that sentiment.

Now after all these years of waiting for something that has never happened, we’ve been conditioned at this stage that we shouldn’t get to excited, especially as we’ve had countless reports and rumours, that never came to fruition.  However, courtesy of an interview with Game Informer, Valve’s Robin Walker has given us an ‘official’ glimmer of hope, though I’d still take it with a pinch of salt.

When asked if Valve will work on a Half-Life 3, Robin stated that “Half-Life means a lot to us” and more importantly, he added “We absolutely see Half-Life: Alyx as our return to this world, not the end of it.

Do the words of Valve’s Robin Walker give you a glimmer of hope?  Let us know across our social media channels.  Half-Life: Alyx will release via PC Steam on March 23rd.
