Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Announced, Releasing Early 2020

Finally, the cult RPG classic Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is getting a sequel and it’s currently set to release sometime during early 2020.  Announced at GDC, this sequel has been 15 years in the making and not only will it be coming to its native PC, but it will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, once more you’ll be playing as a blood-thirsty vampire, stalking from the shadows for you next prey in modern day Seattle.  However, how you go about that, will be down to you and depending on the kind of person you feed upon, their current emotions will give you temporary buffs.  While you can slay just about any unsuspecting member of the public at your will, your actions can get noticed and the police will be drawn to your known locations if you go on a massacre, so utilising stealth will be of the utmost importance.

They’ll also be some new mechanics introduced into this sequel, such when stalking your prey, you can heighten your senses with what sounds much like a detective mode, in which you can see more clearly in the dark and feel potential victims current emotions, as well as dangers they may pose.  While there will be guns and melee weapons in the game, the main weapon is of course you, with your unique vampire abilities, with your strength, speed and ability to scale walls.  With this of course being an RPG, you will earn XP, level-up and choose your perks and abilities as you progress.

Developed by Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early 2020.  Below you can watch the games announcement trailer.  Are you excited for this sequel that is 15 years in the making?  Let us know across our social media channels.
