Vampire The Masquerade Is Getting a Spin-Off for PC and Nintendo Switch

Almost out of nowhere, like a demon of the night stalking in the shadows, a new Vampire: The Masquerade is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch later this year.  This won’t be the original Bloodlines or the sequel that’s set to release next year, but instead it seems to be a spin-off title of sorts entitled “Coteries of New York”.

At this time we don’t have any released gameplay footage, just a short teaser trailer, concept art images and some press release details to go by.    However, most of the valuable information comes via the official press release and from what I can piece together, Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York is said to be a “unique, atmospheric, single-player narrative experience, set in the rich, fully licensed, globally recognized universe of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition.

Players are also said to be able to choose between several “distinct” vampire clans, each with their own motives and lore.  Players will also take one various ethical situations with choices to be made with various dialogue options.  You will also shape your own relationships and loyalties with several NPC’s, take on additional quests and your choices will affect the outcome of the story.

In terms of story, we do know that it will involve a power struggle between two factions, the Camarilla and Anarchs fighting it out in the City that Never Sleeps.  Not that I have much else to go by, but Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York sounds a lot like something inspired by Telltale Games, which I’m all for.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York is to be developed by We are Draw Distance, an independent Polish studio previously known as iFun4all S.A.  With no set release date, a release window of Q4 2019 is the current target.
