It’s roughly a month until Ubisoft’s next big project is released with Watch_Dogs, over the past twelve months or so we’ve seen a lot in regards to its singleplayer campaign, but what of the multiplayer?  Well fear not as Ubisoft has released a nine minute gameplay demo for Watch_Dogs.

The gameplay demo not only shows the action in motion, but it also gives us a glimpse at some of the modes that we can come to expect when Watch_Dogs releases on May 27th.  In the gameplay demo we see the traditional Team Deathmatch, as well as a mode called Online Decryption mode that will have two teams competing against one another to obtain a data file. Players will be able to defuse opponent’s bombs, block gamers on suspension bridges and a whole lot more.

While the singleplayer location of Chicago will be a huge playground free to explore, during the multiplayer modes sections of the city will be locked-off.  Giving online gamers a district of the city to cause utter mayhem.  Some may feel this as a restriction of sorts,  but Ubisoft has also confirmed a while back that there will be an online 8 player Free Roam mode in Watch_Dogs for its multiplayer.

There will also be an accompanying app for Watch_Dogs, which will see a tablet vs. console game type, among other features I’m sure.  This particular mode will have gamers controlling a helicopter on the tablet screen as they try to keep the console gamer in view.  The longer the helicopter keeps the console gamer in view the more points they will earn.  The points earned from the app game for the tablet player will allow them to spend the points on hacking tools such as motorised bollards, traffic cones or even deploy a police car and more.

Watch_Dogs will release for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on May 27th, with the Wii U instalment expected to release this autumn.
