Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Launch Trailer, Game Out Now

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is available now digitally at £14.99 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One (it is available at retail May 19th).  The Old Blood is a standalone title, so The New Order is not required to play it (though it’s disappointing if you do not own this great game yet).  The standalone game is a prequel to The New Order spanned over eight chapters with two interconnected story (the file size is around 38gb).

One of the finest aspects of The New Order was its energetic story and cinematic cutscenes, mixed with good old FPS style gameplay, and The Old Blood has these ingredients by the bucket load as you return to Castle Wolfenstein to bring down the Nazi scum!

To mark its release, Bethesda and MachineGames has released a launch trailer, which you can find above.  We’ll be reviewing The Old Blood soon, but in the meantime you can checkout our review of Wolfenstein: The New Order here.

The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the Allies’ favourr, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria. Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood – Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves – pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound.  In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero’s search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artefacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.
