If you watched WWE SummerSlam last week, then you will know that easily one of the standout moments was the debut of Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend”.  So I assume many of us (me included) wondered when “The Fiend” would appear in the WWE 2K series.

I would have assumed that if we were lucky, he might be a DLC character further down the line of the games life-cycle or maybe even in WWE 2K21.  However, it has been announced that Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” will appear in this year’s WWE 2K20, as a DLC character, but he will be in the first batch of post-launch DLC and as a pre-order bonus!

As a pre-order bonus for WWE 2K20, fans will receive the first pack of the Originals content called Bump in the Night, which will have an individual purchase price of £11.99/$14.99.  Each pack of the Originals content will have its own unique theme and as you’ve probably guessed, Bump in the Night will have a horror theme.

The WWE 2K Originals: Bump in the Night content includes:

  • Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” as a playable character
  • A New 2K Showcase mode (in addition to the once included in the base game), which tells the story of how a “Swampfather” version of Bray Wyatt has lured Finn Bálor to his compound with the sole purpose of harnessing Finn’s inner Demon to become a member of his family. This mode will also have its own exclusive commentary to help tell the story.
  • A horror themed, story-driven 2K Towers with unique versions of WWE Superstars (playable characters) such as “The Friend” Bray Wyatt, “All Fed Up” Sheamus, “Nowhere to Run” Nikki Cross and the “Swampfather” Bray Wyatt.
  • Other additional playable characters include; “Demon King” Finn Bálor, “FrankenStrowman” Braun Strowman, “Wicked” Aleister Black, “Unleashed Apex Predator” Randy Orton, as well as two further unannounced WWE Superstars.
  • Two new arenas’; Wyatt Swamp and the Cemetery Brawl.
  • Horror Themed Creation Pack which includes, “dozens” of Create-a-Superstar parts, new Create-a-Arena parts, new weapons and new moves.

All of this content is included as a pre-order bonus for WWE 2K20 or you can buy it individually for those that do not pre-order and to be fair, this is one hell of a pre-order bonus in my humble opinion.  The remaining WWE 2K20 Originals content will each have their own unique theme and will include their own Showcase, 2K Towers, playable characters, arena’s and creation packs.  All four Originals Packs will be released by spring 2020.

The WWE 2K20 season pass aka the Backstage Pass will sell at £24.99/$29.99 and will include WWE 2K20 Originals Pack 2, 3 and 4.  With each of these packs being jacked with content and each one selling at £11.99/$14.99, they and the Backstage Pass seem to represent great value for money on first impressions.  The Backstage Pass will also be included in the Deluxe and Collector’s Edition of WWE 2K20.

Are you excited for this post-launch content?  Let us know across our social media channels.  WWE 2K20 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 22nd.
