Following reports from last week that WWE 2K21 won’t be releasing this year, WWE has confirmed the news following an investor call this week.  The news was first made apparent by Justin Leeper, who had worked on previous WWE games and claims to have reliable sources, which of course have proved to be true.

This news will come as no surprise, even to those that never even played last year’s WWE 2K20, because it was an absolute mess and the worst WWE game that I’ve ever reviewed, thanks to a plethora of bugs, poor story campaign and odd design chances that mixed up the controls for seemingly no good reason.

However, on the official WWE 2K Twitter page, they did announced that details on the future of the WWE 2K series will be revealed this coming Monday and that they also have some “exciting news”, which I’m sure will be that different “branded” WWE game that is expected to still release this year.
