Back in March we got PlayStation’s first State of Play event, which is basically Sony’s take on Nintendo Direct.  With it being the first of an on-going reveal series, many fans had hoped we’d get some juicy first party news, whether it is The Last of Us Part 2, Death Stranding or Ghost of Tsushima.  Sadly, we got none of those titles as the first State of Play was largely considered to be a letdown.  Though we did get an Iron Man VR and Five Nights at Freddy’s VR reveal, oh and some Crash Team Racing DLC.

So this week we’ll be getting the second State of Play event and going into it, we know of at least one title that we will see and that is the MediEvil remake.  We don’t know exactly what MediEvil content or details will be revealed, but we do know that it will be an extended look.

However, with the show expected to last around just ten minutes, I would imagine that his MediEvil extended look will be no more than five minutes as time will have to be made for other titles.  I also can’t imagine that they’ll be any other big gameplay reveals, so perhaps we’ll get to see a little more of other already announced titles.  But if we were to finally get release dates for The Last of Us Part 2, Death Stranding or Ghost of Tsushima, we’ll only need less than a minute for a quick snippet tease with a release date for one of those titles.

Sony has also stated that they’ll be no next gen news at this time, but no doubt we’ll get that later in the year.  The second State of Play will take place this Thursday on May 9th at 11pm UK time, 12am CEST/3pm PT/6pm ET.
