Prior to the CES 2020 event last night, Sony had been teasing something related to the PS5 and that’s what we got.  However, it wasn’t a look at the new console or new spec details, it was just the logo and it looks pretty much what you’d expect it to look like.  The PS5 logo can be found above.

Also, Sony did reiterate some of the console specifications we already knew about, such as the 3D audio sound, haptics/adaptive triggers on the DualShock 5, ultra high speed SSD, hardware-based ray tracing technology and ultra HD Blu-ray support.

Sony also revealed a number of impressive sales milestones for hardware and PS+ subscribers, including the PS4 console selling over 106,000,000 units, the PSVR selling over 5,000,000 units and over 100,000,000 active users with nearly 40,000,000 PS+ subscribers.

While we never got anything exciting revealed for the PS5 console, Sony did promise “much more” information and details on the PS5 games line-up in the coming months.  Which is a good thing, considering the PS5 is scheduled to release later this year.
