MotorStorm RC Racks Up Impressive Statistics, New DLC

MotorStorm RC is by far one of the best downloadable titles for the Vita, however Sony have now revealed that it may also me one of the most popular! If you haven’t had chance to pick it up yet, why not check out my review to see what you’re missing. Evolution Studios took a left turn with the series, shrinking the cars and tracks to offer a new game perfectly suited for a portable device.

While MotorStorm RC doesn’t offer true simultaneous racing, it does what all portable games should by including leaderboards and push notifications. This means that you’re never out of the action as there’s always a time to reclaim from a friend.

Sony has just revealed some statistics to show how well the title has resonated with gamers –

  • A new MotorStorm: RC event begins somewhere in the world every single second
  • 19 downloads of MotorStorm: RC every minute
  • At least two new PSN friendships are ignited and two new challenges are sent every minute
  • Every 60 seconds, eight PlayStation Trophies are awarded to MotorStorm RC players on their way to earning the prestigious “Lunatics Unite” Platinum Trophy

That’s not all though, as there’s some new DLC now available up on the Playstation Store. The Carnival Expansion Pack adds new trophies and six racing circuits consisting of twenty four new events.

Don’t forget though that it’s completely cross compatible with the PS3 version, meaning you can pick up the DLC for one and play it on the other, and this also goes for the lap times.
