DRIVECLUB Gets A Release Date, Trailer & Screenshots

Sony Computer Entertainment and Evolution Studios have just announced the release date for their much anticipated racing simulator DRIVECLUB. DRIVECLUB was originally planned to launch alongside the PS4 and would have be one of the first PlayStation Plus titles with the DRIVECLUB PS+ Edition. Sadly the game was delayed and there has been no word of a release date until now.

Working relentlessly on the title and have created a brand new trailer from in-game footage to show how impressive the title is currently looking. We planned for the game to be ready for early 2014 and are committed to delivering on our ambitious promise of creating a truly innovative, socially connected racing game. The problem with being ambitious is you have to be prepared to accept there will be challenges along the way. What DRIVECLUB offers has not been previously achieved in this category and because of this, the team needed more time to give you the game you’re waiting for.

DRIVECLUB will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 exclusively on October 7 in North America, October 8 in Europe and October 10 in the UK. Along with announcement Evolution Studios have also revealed that as of February 2014, Paul Rustchynsky – better known as Rushy – has been at the helm of DRIVECLUB as Game Director.

If you are unfamiliar who Rushy is, you might be familiar with his previous title that he was Game Director for, MotorStorm RC. He has contributed to all major titles from Evolution Studios since 2004.
