Good news for DriveClub owners, well for those that have had trouble connecting, as Evolution Studios have recently posted on their Facebook page that the majority of DriveClub owners should now be able to connect online. However, myself personally I am still having issues.

We reported about two weeks ago that DriveClub’s servers are having huge problems connecting at launch. Then the new update was released that only let players connect online if another player leaves and frees up a server space.

We’re still improving server performance to get all of you enjoying full online connectivity together, but the majority of DriveClub players should now be able to connect and play online,” a new message on the game’s  has reassured.

“More server updates and upgrades are coming online over the weekend, so while this work continues you may still experience some issues with connectivity but please keep trying.

Once connected you are able to gain access to the Club features, races and leaderboards.

I myself haven’t been able to connect online since last week,  here and there I have connected, but got disconnected shortly after. However, I have a terrible internet connection and luckily I will be upgrading that connection to a new provider. I will have an offline review of DriveClub coming this week. I will then review the online modes when I can connect to see what they have to offer.

For those that are still waiting for the free PlayStation Plus Edition, we are all still left in the dark as Evolution Studios hasn’t commented on when it will release.

We will continue to keep you informed as we make progress and we know we’ve said this before but we mean it: We know how frustrating it is when you can’t get connected and we feel it too. We are working flat out to get online sign-in, multiplayer racing and leaderboards running smoothly for everyone, all of the time.

“We can’t thank you enough for your messages of support and feedback during the past week, so please keep talking to us and sharing your thoughts about the game while you play.

As always we will update you on all things DriveClub as and when we learn more.
