Thanks to the people over at CVG, below we have a full analysis of the new ‘XMB’ menu for the PlayStation 4 as show during Gamescom earlier this week. The video features full details and thoughts on the new menu system and not being a fan of the current XMB used on the PlayStation 3, I can say this looks so much better.

The PS4 menu features a lot of new details, some which many gamers will welcome with open arms. It uses tiles rather than the scrolling mechanism on the PS3, this makes it easier to find and interact with your games, your friends and also keep track of what people are playing. Each game tile has their own stats and details which can be accessed at any time and features a whole range of items, trophies, videos and more.

Another awesome new features allows you to dip in and view what your friends are currently playing, an overlooked feature I’m sure and one I will surely be using myself in the future. You can view the full video below.
