A free update is now live for Horizon Zero Dawn that introduces a whole host of new features and improvements.  The new features include an Ultra Hard difficulty, a New Game+, face paints and more.

The New Game+ will allow you to begin a new game without losing any of your character progression and inventory items, including weapons and resources.  The Ultra Difficulty will enhance on the enemies awareness and senses, as well as making them more aggressive.  Aloy’s health regeneration will also be limited, but be warned, once you embark on the Ultra Difficulty setting, you will not be able to lower the difficulty once that campaign has begun.

The update will also bring us new Face paint, updated versions of existing weapons and outfits, with extra modification slots to be purchased from the in-game vendors.  The Ultra Hard difficulty and New Game+ also adds two new Trophies to the game.

Update 1.30 will automatically download to your PS4 (as long as you have the auto-download feature activated) and will be added to your game once you fire it up.  At E3, an expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn was announced with The Frozen Wilds, which will release later this year, although we do not have a set release date at this time.
