Lance McDonald, a fantastic modder known for exploring out-of-bound areas that we are not meant to see has found a way to leave the haunted house of P.T and has explored the streets of Silent Hills.

In the infamous demo that released in 2014, that was meant to be the playable teaser for a Silent Hill game from Hideo Kojima, only let us explore the endless loop of corridors, while being terrorised by the ghostly Lisa.  However, McDonald has modded the demo and shows us what it may have been like outside of the house, if the full game had ever released.

Quite surprisingly, the streets of the demo are very detailed, which is surprising considering that we were never meant to see this area in the demo.  However, the gloomy streets do give us an added insight of the nightmarish atmosphere outside the walls of the haunted house.  Previously, we only got a glimpse of the streets once the demo was completed, which also revealed Normal Reedus as the protagonist.

It’s a very interesting video to watch, especially if you’re a fan of the Silent Hill series, but it does still make me feel sad to what could have been, had Konami not treated Hideo Kojima so poorly, which resulted in him leaving the company.  However, there is a petition doing the rounds that urges Konami to remake the Silent Hill series, similar to that of Capcom with Resident Evil, you can find that very petition here.
