PlayStation and Uncharted fans alike were blown away by the E3 footage for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, but if there was one minor gripe with the demo, it was that it perhaps ended a little prematurely.  However to help fill that void, SCE and Naughty Dog has released an extended video of that E3 demo, taking it from over 7 minutes to 15 minutes worth of gameplay footage.

The previous video ended with some bridge swinging antics by Nathan Drake (Nolan North), but now in this extended footage we see him team up with his brother Sam (voiced by Troy Baker).  You can watch the 15 minute gameplay demo above.

In related news, it has been confirmed that the singleplayer campaign of Uncharted 4 will now be locked at 30fps; Naughty Dog has previously stated that they would be aiming for 60fps.  The news was confirmed by co-lead designer Anthony Newman during a livestream of the demo, he said “the game we wanted to make, to make the best game possible,” he added “To me, a locked 30 is better than a variable 60,“.  However they did clarify that they would still be aiming for 60fps for the games multiplayer mode.

Will this 30fps be for the good of the game?  If there’s one studio I truly trust, then it’s Naughty Dog and if the above gameplay footage is anything to go by, then this will be an epic game none the less.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release March 2016 exclusively for the PS4 and those that pre-order Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (releasing October 7th), will be granted beta access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer.
