Sega’s AM2 Fighters Dated And Priced

Sega have announced that the previously confirmed digital versions of Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers and Sonic The Fighters will be released in the next few weeks.

All 3 titles will release at once, coming to Xbox Live Arcade on the 28th of November for 400 Microsoft points each. For Playstation Network, it will arrive on November the 27th for $4.99 each in North America, and the 5th of December for £3.69/4.49EUR each.

These titles are all from the same era of SEGA when they made amazing arcade games of which console conversions helped keep the Mega Drive and Saturn alive. AM2 is the handiwork of Yu Suzuki, one of the most prolific and successful arcade game designers, and creator of ShenmueVirtua Fighter pretty much birthed the 3D fighter, and Virtua Fighter 2 improved on it dramatically. Fighting Vipers is like a spin-off of VF2, adding armour and walls. Sonic The Fighters is a pretty throwaway game in the Sonic franchise, allowing you to beat each other up with massive heads and tiny arms, should you want to do so.
