Are you starstruck? Find out if you will be after watching this movie right here.

The film opens with Chris Wilde (Sterling Knight) singing a very catchy song called Starstruck. You see swooning fans everywhere until it cuts to 2 sisters. One loves him one thinks he’s too big for his boots. Wilde however seems to be getting sick of all the attention from his attention seeking girlfriend (Chelsea Staub) and the paparazzi.

When Wilde needs to prove he can take an acting role seriously, he  must stay out of the spotlight. The story then follows his struggle doing this and his romance with the main character Jessica, the girl who thinks he is too stuck up.

The movie has a massive sense of predictability. You can guess that he won’t be able to stay out of the spotlight. You can tell he will fall in love with Jessica, she will slowly fall for him, then he will break her heart, then fight to fix it.

Don’t get me wrong the acting is good and the story is good. There’s just something about this movie that doesn’t sit right. I think some back story on certain characters like Wilde would be helpful. I think the film also is cast in such a High School Musical fashion. Sterling Knight is a blonde hair, blue eyed teen sensation. Danielle Campbell (Jessica) looks ridiculously like Vannessa Hudgens.

I wouldn’t let this put you off the film though. It is well structured with a good storyline, great acting and a touching soundtrack. A mixture of both upbeat songs like ‘Starstruck’ and emotional rollercoasters like ‘Hero’. There’s romance, music, cars and just generally a good film so go and check it out.
