Welcome to Indie Exposure, a regular topic in which I will be looking at some of the more indie, and unnoticed games to come out. Our game today is, Sector 7-4-9er, a retro looking mining game that seems to reference the visual style of the silver age comic books and looks to play like classic Asteroid games.

In this game you control one of the two ships, depending on your difficulty level and mine through dynamically generated asteroids full of valuable minerals. On the way, you can hope to meet alien life forms, that will help you get around the more challenging sections of the game, that includes strange and probably, hostile life-forms.

However, one of the main reason this game really stands out to me is due to who made it. The creator of this game is Casey Sillito, who resides in Canada. Casey Sillito has a unique background in Psychology and Drama, netting him some valuable narration experience, but most of all, he is an avid follower of computers and video games. Unfortunately though, he was struck by the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome at the age of 30, which might have devastated some victims, but not Casey. Casey found solace in video game development as it not only allowed him to work from home but also let him use his creativity to create some really fun games.

In my opinion, the man should be applauded for his commitment and wished well in his newly chosen field, as CFS is no laughing matter, and can really affect your daily activities. So be sure to try the demo for the game on XBOX LIVE and of course, needless to say, buy it if you like it as it is available for just 80 MS points! That’s jut a single US dollar!

Stay tuned for next time on Indie Exposure, a special feature for unnoticed but seemingly interesting indie games. Also, be sure to check out the release trailer for Sector 7-4-9er below.

Oh, but there's a mistake in the article! The game doesn't cost 800 MS POINTS – it costs 80! Just one American dollar.

Hi! I'm the creator of Sector 7-4-9er. Thanks for the words of encouragement! I just wanted to mention to anyone thinking of buying the game, that there is currently a glitch that prevents the intro sequence from playing and explaining the goal of the game. I'm trying to get a patch through but it will take at least a week. You can read more about it on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Sector749er.
