Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess HD confirmed for Wii U

After various rumours, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD has been confirmed for the Wii U, it was announced via Nintendo Direct.  Just like the Wind Waker HD, The Twilight Princess HD will have improved HD visuals, with many textures being remade and possibly it will have the gameplay updated if needs be, the new version of the game will be developed by Tantalus

A new  gameplay trailer was also released (as seen above) and that’s not all, as a Wolf Link Amiibo was announced, along with the news that all previous Legend of Zelda Amiibo’s from Super Smash Bros. will be compatible with The Twilight Princess HD.  The Wolf Link Amiibo and the game will be available individually or as a bundle.  Nintendo of America president Reggi Fils-Aime stated that your game progress saved to the Amiibo from The Twilight Princess HD would carry over to the upcoming The Legend of Zelda game on Wii U and the yet to be announced new console, though specifics were not detailed.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will release for the Wii U on March 4th 2016 and as an added bonus, if you watch the above trailer through to the end, you will see some new gameplay footage for the new upcoming Zelda title.

Seeing as we’ve already seen Wind Waker HD on Wii U and now The Twilight Princess HD is on its way, could we see a Skyward Sword HD? With 2016 being the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, I’m sure Nintendo will have a few more surprises up their sleeves in the coming months.
